A quick post about resources
I have already been asked by a reader about whether we do a podcast. The gentleman (I think) expressed an interest in the FLR lifestyle, and was looking for help. Well, part of the reason I kept on writing this blog after she said yes (!) to an FLR is that there is a paucity of information available for men seeking out FLR. I say men, specifically, because I have found resources aimed at women, a lot of them. I'm sure some of them would be good for men, too, but they are written by and for women.
I think it is important to take a break in this post to remind everyone that your FLR will be different than everyone else's FLR, because YOU are different than everyone else. There is no list of requirements for FLR that cover specific behaviors, rituals, or other actions because at its root, FLR is just submitting to your woman's leadership in a way that is comfortable for both of you. You may decide together that the male half should slap on a collar and chastity cage and quit his job and just stay home to serve as a domestic servant. The man may be in charge of his professional life and the needs he has for that may trump other aspects of the relationship. Whatever it is, you all will have to come to it yourselves.
However, there ARE resources, and I'll be adding a "Resource" tab to the top bar of the blog later today, and I will link to some of them. I will describe them and what I liked or did not like about them. Perhaps that will be helpful to some of you. It will be helpful to me because it will make me be more thoughtful about the things I have read and will read about this lifestyle, and force me to articulate why they are important to me. Being more thoughtful is a good thing. Here's my first one, which will be on the page later tonight: This is a tumblr page by a Dutch woman who has lived in an FLR with her husband (kids in the house) for the last 15 years. Of all the things I have read, this is probably my favorite, and had I read it years ago I think we would have got here sooner. Anyway, enjoy FLRInfo. I know I did. *Navigation Tip: She provides a link at the bottom of each post that takes you to the next post in sequence. If you scroll down, the post beneath won't necessarily be the correct follow-on post.
